The public often takes the forest’s basic functions for granted, viewing them as a resource that is always available. Myreforest is committed to raising public awareness of the forest and its importance for both people and nature.
That is why we often organize reforestation projects as team-building events (e.g., for companies, schools, customers, and partners), thereby reconnecting participants with the forest. In doing so, we bring together local residents with private forest owners and foresters and organize forest days that offer a unique experience.
Anyone who has ever helped reforest a section of woodland under expert guidance will see and appreciate it in a whole new light. We make sure that participants have a local connection to the forest area, allowing them to visit “their” forest frequently by bike or on foot.
At the start of a planting day, the forester welcomes participants with an introduction to the topic of forests and climate, with a local focus, and continues to share background information and interesting insights throughout the planting. Experience has shown that a large portion of the forest area can be planted during guided team events. The remaining portion is then planted by professional companies. The strenuous day concludes with a shared meal and the opportunity to reflect on the day’s shared experiences.
